I'm excited to announce the winner of designerbox#34 as Tamara Delange who commented - 'I like them all, but box #5 'candle in the wind' stands out. It reveals a story in all its simplicity. I love the combination of storytelling & design. It makes a design item iconic'. We totally agree! Congratulations Tamara! ReplyDeleteHello My Scandinavian Home !
ReplyDeleteI just discovered this beautiful website a few weeks ago, thanks to pinterest !
I think I have a look at it every day, or more than twice a day ! Ahah
Because I like Scandinavian style, and it remerbers me some memories... (I was in Sweden for one semester for my Biology Bachelor and I miss Sweden so much...) and give my some inspiration !
To answer to this "competition", I think that the box I like the most is the DESIGNERBOX 28, Design by GESA HANSEN ! It's so cosy and sweat ! And we have to assemble it by our own ! I like this ! I think it will light up my new flat (new from a few weeks ago, so there is no decoration anymore...) !
See you,
Amandine
Hello! This is the first time that I've ever "commented" on any blog, but I just had to as I'm so taken by the designerbox concept!
ReplyDeleteFavourite is no 11. It is the perfect mix of form and function for me. Plus, although I lean towards earthy and muted tones, a bright pop of colour (in this case, orange) is always lovely.
Rosie
I like box 2 very much because I love the idea that you can choose which item you put in the spotlight to create your own exhibition. Moreover: our daughter is called 'Lux'!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is #13

ReplyDeleteBox no 27 - yes definitely this box. Although we love them all.
ReplyDeleteWhy? We love wood and the grain in oak makes you think of the tree it came from and the strength and years it took to grow.
The "Les Chouettes" are such a fun, quirky and creative use of Oak. Love them.
Love the idea behind the design boxes.
#12! that cork is just so playful
ReplyDeleteDefinetely box number 2! So creative and beautiful! Great idea to use the box itself! Love it!

ReplyDeleteDesigner box #28 gotta love Gesa Hansen's LumiĆØre prĆ©cieuse
ReplyDeleteI love so many but my very favorite is #13, the gorgeous ceramic pot by Pierro Lissoni. I love how it is so simple yet also sculptural and visually stunning. And even with the beautiful lighting in the photograph, it looks like it's shape is arresting in and of itself.
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredible idea and a great way to get exploring design from some lesser know people. I love the simplicity of alot of the designs, especially Aldo Bakker's porcelain vase - what a beauty!!! Subtile and surprising - and white :)
