Monochrome and mid-century in lovely Swedish spaces

It's no secret there's an incredible amount of interior inspiration to be found on the websites of Swedish estate agents. Just enter Stadshem, Alvhem, Entrance, 55kvadrat, or Fantastic Frank into the My Scandinavian Home search box and you'll have an entire morning of beautiful homes to look at (obsessed, who me?!). One of my latest faves is the international real estate who specialise in high-end homes (a girls got to dream?!) but also some 'light' versions too.  Here are some examples of the spaces found in Eklund homes of late....monochrome, mid-century, designer, what's not to love?!

Beautiful! Look at that morning light in the bedroom?! Another duvet day option perhaps?!

A few items I know and love: Tulip table, Eames sidechairs (15% off right now!), Knoll diamond chair, Vee Speers print, Design House Stockholm work lamp, string shelving.

I'm in a little bit of a rush today as I've got lots of writing to do and I've promised the girls I would take them on an adventure this afternoon- go, go, GO!

Have a lovely day! And oh, back tomorrow with a lovely Swedish house tour! See you then!

  1. Oh God, I don't think I should even THINK about looking at the Swedish estate agents' website - I drool enough just reading your blog!
I am actually somewhat surprised that the photos are from Fredrik's house (well, ONE of his MANY houses) - I know him from the Million Dollar Listing NY series on TV and even though he is extremely successful, I don't like his personality all that much. I am in fact surprised that these would be rooms he would live in - but he does have Swedish blood, after all. :-) Perhaps the TV portrays only only one side of his personality.

    1. It is a dangerous site! But also, i just wanted to say that I think my text is a bit misleading - these aren't from his house but a snapshot from some of the rooms of the homes sold through the site - I must update the post - thanks for inadvertently pointing this out!! :)

  2. Wonderful....but these items you mentioned at the end of your post are just too expensive for us ordinary people in Croatia.... and also, we do not have a place to buy such things here ... Nest.co.uk is a page I can only drool watching ... Thanks for the inspiration fot he thing we can do ourselves... :) Love your wonderful blog.
