my scandinavian home: The Apartment, Copenhagen

The Apartment, Copenhagen

Thursday, 25 April 2013

An exciting invite plopped into my mail box last week to attend a preview of the Sarah Becker exhibition at The Apartment. For those of you are unfamiliar with the concept, The Apartment was founded by Tina Seidenfaden Busck and Pernille Hornhauer and exhibits 20th century funriture, contemporary art and design in the setting of an 18th century apartment in the heart of Copenhagen. Here are some pictures of the forever changing space which is slightly more flamboyant than the usual Danish style we are used to seeing but nevertheless beautiful.

The Apartment

What do you think of the space, does it reflect your personal style?

Unfortunately I couldn't make the preview as I was rushing off to London, but the exhbition is on until May 8th for anyone who's interested.
I'm heading home today and sooooo looking forward to seeing my little family! Thank you London for a wonderful stay, you'll always be my favourite!!

PS Don't forget to enter the give-away if you haven't already!

PPS Excuse the layout changes this evening - we are just trying to figure out a slightly new and improved layout and it's a bit of a work in progress!

  5. I heard of this project some time ago, but I don't think I realized that it was indefinitely ongoing. Quite brilliant. I wish someone would do the same in NYC. Safe travels!

  10. Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you knew of any widgets
I could add to my blog that automatically tweet my newest twitter updates.
I've been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time and was hoping maybe you would have some experience with something like this. Please let me know if you run into anything. I truly enjoy reading your blog and I look forward to your new updates.

  11. Not only do I love the use of space and the mix of colours and textures here but I've spent nearly an hour on your blog and am just giddy with inspiration! We've just bought our first house and are blogging as we transform it into our own white, spacious, calm Scaninavian dream home so your blog has been discovered at the right time! We'll be back very soon!
