White industrial style loft in Barcelona

In February I'm off to one of my favourite cities: the wonderful Barcelona!  I wish I was staying in this modern industrial style apartment, originally a textile workshop. Designing an open plan living space can be so challenging but these guys seemed to have planned it to perfection and just look at the 'bones' they had to play with. *sigh* if only.....

The large light filled rooms are so fantastic. I'm telling you, if I owned this apartment I'd cycle the bicycle (by the door) around it all day just because I could!

What do you think of modern industrial style homes and open plan living?

Any fab design tips for Barcelona?

Wishing you all a lovely day!

  1. Oh, Barcelona is such a wonderful city! For design, just check out the hip El Born quarter. For more classy cathalanian things, you have to visit the amazing houses of Gaudí and the Palau Musica.

  4. WOW! How big do you think that rug on the floor is?? I've never seen one so big. I wish I could make my home look this amazing, but part of why this loft works so well is because of it's amazing bones. You just can't duplicate those windows in a regular house! And I'm with you, I'd ride my bike around there like a delighted child if I owned that place!

Have a wonderful time in Barcelona. I've never been! Promise to take lots of pictures when you go. xo

  7. That is a lovely loft! My Barcelona tips is to drink cava and eat tapas, you'll love it! As a tourist you shouldn't miss the Gaudi houses or the Sagrada Familia, of course and to take a trip to the lovely Parc Güell in memory of Miró if you want some cultural experiences! /Hanna
