A pretty white apartment in Gothenburg

It's Friiiiiiiiiday, woohoo!! To celebrate let's go for a classic contemporary all white affair with this beautiful Gothenburg apartment built in 1939 and for sale via Alvhem (it's been a while since I've done a  'for sale in Sweden' post - at least 7 days...!). I spy Scandinavian designer pieces, mid century finds and vintage prints organised in the relatively small space of 39 metres square. I think the creative people at Alvhem who also own the shop in the last image, have done a fab job.

It's quite impressive how the white makes the space look so much larger than it is. Alvhem has been really clever with the room layout too.

What do you think?

So that's it from me for this week, do you have any great plans for the weekend? Me, I'm off out with the girls tonight :) Oh and re-thinking a major room change in the house which requires lots of help from Pinterest of course! Have a lovely a couple of days and see you Monday!

  1. Owners? Doesn't Alvhem stage and decorate all the apartments they have for sale?

    1. You're absolutely right! Just been back on their website - which I had only viewed the home itself and not the blurb about the company and realised it's a concept! Thanks for highlighting! It's pretty all the same though right?

    2. Maybe that's why all these Swedish flats seem to have the same artworks and prints on the wall: the 1968 Moderna Warhol, the meow tiger,...
I was already wondering if everyone in Sweden has exactly the same taste. ;-)

  3. SO beautiful, but now that I know the agency stages all these apartments it makes me feel better! Here I was thinking all these apartment owners had impeccable taste! Ha! I love each and every shot though. That kitchen looks so cosy. And I want to curl up and take a nap in that bedroom. Sigh. have a great weekend!

  11. My is drawn directly to that butterfly chair. I have one (in white canvas) and I really think a leather cover would take it in a whole new direction. Have a wonderful weekend!

  13. I love it! It almost boarders on stark but it does not cross this line. This is not easy to pull off and you are correct it is a great way to make a small space look bigger. BTW following you know on Bloglovin.
