my scandinavian home: A brick house in Skåne, Sweden

A brick house in Skåne, Sweden

Thursday, 17 May 2012

Things are starting to wind down here a little now, pheweee! What a week! And today's actually a public holiday in Sweden, hurray! So I'm going to leave you with a lovely Swedish brick house from here in the Southern most county, Skåne which I spotted over at one of my favourite interior blogs La Maison D'Anna G. The home-owners have used a great mix of furniture from flea market finds, to designer items such as string shelves and svenskt tenn fabric and the Swedish staple, IKEA

What do you think? D'you like the mix? It would be fun to hear your thoughts as this style is all too familiar to me.

Since it's a holiday here I'm off to spend a little time with my girls and man! I hope you have a lovely weekend! See you Monday! x

  1. Happy Holiday! Hope the sun shines, gosh the houzz thing was an eye opener! Some of the comments!! All down to personally taste I guess and yes we do have too much stuff and not enough space, but don't want to loose any just in case we get our Huf House one day!
The light is so lovely in that Skane house.

  2. It's so fun and colourful! Love the wallpaper behind the staircase :)

  3. Great mixture of furniture - high and low. Just clicked through the svenskt tenn website and have to say I love the fabrics...Happy Holiday!

  4. Yes, I am a fan of "the mix" here. Especially in the living room with all the patterns and textures. Have a wonderful weekend!

  5. Love the mix!!! so colorful and full of life!
    maravilloso :)
