my scandinavian home: A black and white Finnish log cabin

A black and white Finnish log cabin

Friday, 24 February 2012

I'm so happy it's Friday! Today I'm off with my little girls and we're planning on going out and doing lots of fun things. But first, I couldn't resist publishing this charming Finnish log cabin decorated in black and white and crammed with vintage finds. Oh how I wish I had a country home like this. Thank you Mrs Jones for the inspiration!

You can see more pics here (check out the way the creative homeowners use old doors and windows for decoration and ways to display items in many of the rooms - wonderful or what?!).

Any plans for the weekend? Finding yourself a log cabin to renovate perhaps (I'm tempted)?. What ever you're doing, have a lovely one - and see you Monday!

  3. It is a really lovely home. I agree with you Homestilo that the kids room is particularly fab! I also love the hallway. Imagine having a weekend getaway like this? I'm thinking a Swedish forest by a lake somewhere not far from here....

  6. I’ve seen lots of traditional cabins furnished with natural coat, but this wooden cabin is a mirror of heaven! I’m absolutely stunned by this photoset. It defines class and elegance. I suddenly got inspired to renovate my cabin, and make it as interesting as this. Only, I think I will need to think of a different approach and style, of course. Hehe!
